Salary: £30,000–£36,270 per year (depending on hours, experience, and qualifications)

Days/Hours: 42 hours over 4 days or 45 hours over 5 days | Shifts between 7:15am–6:45pm

Contract: All Year Round / Permanent

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join our friendly nursery team in Croydon, London CR2. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or strong Third in Charge looking for a long-term leadership role within a supportive early years setting.

Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will help maintain high standards of childcare, learning, and safeguarding while supporting staff development and ensuring children thrive within a safe and stimulating environment. This is a room-based leadership role with a strong focus on delivering outstanding EYFS practice and supporting continuous improvement across the nursery.

Responsibilities

• Lead practice within the room and model high-quality EYFS care and education
• Coach, mentor, and support practitioners within the team
• Support the Nursery Manager in maintaining high standards across the nursery
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
• Support safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusive practice
• Assist with planning activities and monitoring children’s development
• Maintain compliance with nursery policies and Ofsted requirements

About You

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
• Previous Deputy Manager or senior nursery leadership experience
• Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Passionate about child development and high-quality childcare
• Eligible to work in the UK
